Release Notes

Glance Software Current and Supported Versions

Glance reviews the minimum supported versions for these products on a quarterly basis.

When a decision is made to deprecate support for an older version, that information is added to the grid below and customers using that version are notified with enough lead time to complete the upgrade before support officially ends.

Glance may require expedited upgrades in certain situations (e.g., important security patches).

In general, we recommend updating your Glance software when new versions are released to take advantage of new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.

Additionally, should an issue arise with your implementation, one of the first troubleshooting steps will be to upgrade to the newest version. Staying up-to-date on the version deployed in your environment will make troubleshooting smoother and faster.

Info

Even if you choose not to take advantage of new features and functionality, it’s important to stay up to date on your software.

Glance continually updates our servers to support the latest features, fixes, and security patches. New server versions are regression tested for backwards compatibility only against the supported software versions listed below.

Unsupported software may be incompatible with newer server versions and fail to function properly even if no changes are made on the customer side.

Please contact Glance to be added to our email distribution list for notification of all new releases.

Glance for Salesforce Support for Enhanced Domains

Glance has updated the managed package to support Enhanced Domains in version 3.12 or later. Download and install the current salesforce package here.

Salesforce will enforce Enhanced Domains in all orgs in the Winter ‘23 release, starting in August 2022 for sandboxes and October 2022 for production orgs. See this link for more information.

Glance for Salesforce versions below 3.12 will not function properly in orgs with Enhanced Domains enabled, so you must upgrade your Glance for Salesforce package to 3.12 or above before this happens.

Glance for Salesforce Legacy

Glance for Salesforce Legacy is not supported for new customer deployments. New customer deployments should use Glance for Salesforce Lightning. Existing customers with Glance for Salesforce Legacy installations may continue to use the package, with the following caveats:

  • Glance for Salesforce Legacy is no longer under active development.
  • Glance for Salesforce Legacy is not actively tested against new Salesforce releases. Although Salesforce rarely breaks existing functionality, it is the responsibility of the customer to test the package against new Salesforce releases to ensure forward compatibility.
  • Customers wishing to benefit from any new features, bug fixes, and/or performance improvements will need to switch to the Glance for Salesforce Lightning package.
